About

Here is about: Them as Couple, about Hikaru and Lantis as characters, and also what is a fanlisting.

Why Together?

Why those two? There is something about them that makes me love them.
In the manga Hikaru is still thinking in a werid way about loving someone. She loves Lantis but not in the way he would want it, while in the anime their love is really something special. The truth is I would unite the ending of the manga and anime in one part. So they would live happily together ever after. I think they are a perfect match for each other... and if you think like me. Then please join, even if you see them only as friends please join.

Hikaru Shidou (Shido Hikaru, Shidou, Lucy) is an eighth-grader with bright red eyes and pale scarlet hair, who is small for her age, and often teased for her boyishness. She helps her parents and her three older brothers (Masaru, Satoru and Kakeru) to run a school for Kendo. She is headstrong and determined, and in many ways very childish, but she is fiercely loyal to her friends. In particular, she wants to save Cephiro to get home to return to her dog, Hikari, her precious childhood friend. She uses fire-based magics, such as Arrow of Fire and Crimson Lightning. Hikaru is very popular with fans, especially with boys, because of her sometimes childish behavior; for example, in the manga, where Fuu is "asking" Ferio to help them, Umi catches on to what she's doing, but Hikaru has no idea what's going on. When Ferio agrees, Umi cheers, as does Hikaru, though she still doesn't get it. It's also mentioned that she's the most popular girl in her all-girls school. She becomes best friends with Umi and Fuu in the first season. In the second season, she falls in love with Lantis, and becomes friends with Eagle Vision of Autozam.
However, in the manga, Hikaru is not romantically involved with anyone, despite Lantis hinting that he has strong feelings for her. Hikaru claims to love everyone, and due to her innocent nature, probably loves everyone equally. In the second season when the need for a new Pillar of Cephiro is urgent--people from all different lands flock to Cephiro to become the Pillar. It is apparent from the first moment they are told they will be Magic Knights that Hikaru is the most strong-willed and passionate of the group. This leads to her eventually becoming the new Pillar of Cephiro at the end of the season. Yet Hikaru decides that she would rather Cephiro not have to rely on one person to sacrifice herself for the good of the land--and uses her power as Pillar to destroy the Pillar System and allow Cephiro to function on its own.
Voiced by Julie Maddalena, Aya Blanco-Bejer, Angelines Santana and Hekiru Shiina.

Hikaru is the youngest daughter of her normal family. She has three big brothers, Masaru, Satoru, and Kakeru, which contributed to her rather tomboyish personality. All of them ran a kendo dojo, which Hikaru excels in. She also has a pet dog named Hikari. Hikaru is a short 14-year-old girl with braided red hair with a headstrong, determination and a somewhat childish personality. She is also very innocent, which is often characterized by cat ears. Despite these personality traits, Hikaru seems to be the leader between the Magic Knights. It was mentioned somewhere in the manga that Hikaru's favorite subject is biology and she wanted to be a dog trainer. These are influenced with her love with animals and this also influenced her relationship with Mokona, whom gets along with her the best between the Knights. Her worst subject in school is actually singing, contrary to her seiyuu Hekiru Shiina, who has a singing career. In the manga, Hikaru often loses her energy when she hasn't eaten. Umi had said that "she always tries to carry the weight of the world by herself". Fuu had also mentioned that "Hikaru is really strong... but never seems happy". Hikaru mainly uses Fire magic. However, between the Knights, she has the least amount of spells, although they're the most powerful ones. The Magic Knight Rayearth videogame, however, gave Hikaru additional spells. Her first spell is "Flame Arrow" (Honoo no Ya), where Hikaru lets out a stream of fire from her hand, which was formed like an arrow. She uses this spell often. Her second spell is "Ruby Lightning" (Akai Inazuma), where Hikaru lets loose several red-colored lightning bolts from both of her hands. This is her only lightning-based attack, which she rarely uses. In the second series of the anime, only Nova is seen using it. [Wikipedia]

Who is Lantis

Lantis a powerful Kailu (magic swordsman) and the younger brother of Lord Zagato, who journeyed abroad for a long time and returned to Cephiro after meeting Eagle in Autozam. Lantis returned to get rid of the Pillar system, because of what happened to Zagato and Princess Emaurade. He is regarded with suspicion by the other primary magic-users of Cephiro, largely due to his reclusive nature, but Hikaru approaches him nevertheless, though at first it's because she feels immensely guilty after killing his brother. At heart, he is gentle, although his intimidating manner puts people off; in fact, he forgives Hikaru and the other Knights for Zagato's death. In the anime version he falls in love with Hikaru during the second season. His name comes from the Mazda Lantis. Voiced by Lex Lang and Jurota Kosugi, both of whom also voiced Zagato. [Wikipedia]

What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is, quite simply, a listing of fans. Fanlistings are similar to any other group or club you might join. You can join a fanlisting to 'show your love of something.' Most fanlistings have small codes, buttons, or plaques available which you can display on your own website if you'd like. Our site definition of a fanlisting is: "A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans." [From thefanlisrings.org]
